In a clever bit of pandering to the gamer crowd for the Fubarino Contest, [Laurens] has integrated The legend of Zelda, Minecraft, as well as an Arduino to produce something really, truly cool.
[Laurens] cobbled together an Arduino, MIDI connector, as well as LCD screen that will checked out a MIDI keyboard as well as find when one of the tunes from Ocarina of Time/Majora’s Mask is played. The Arduino then plays back the tune slower as well as longer, just like in the game.
Here’s where things get cool: since [Laurens] has an Arduino that understands when an OoT/MM tune is played, he can have the sun tune manage the lights, or the tune of Storms turn his sprinkler system on. He selected to pipe all these commands into Minecraft, where the tune of Healing provides some health and wellness to the Minecraft character, the tune of Storms controls the rain, as well as other remarkable mashups of Zelda as well as Minecraft.
This job offers more than sufficient to stand on its own, however [Laurens] likewise added a Hackaday easter egg. When playing the letters had in ASCII on the keyboard, our preferred URL shows up on the Arduino as well as inside Minecraft.
Here’s an picture gallery and the source code (dropbox, so don’t spam it) for [Laurens]’ remarkable project.
