The iphone 6s won’t see an official announcement for a good few months, but we’ve already seen plenty of rumors and leaked reports hit the Web. In a first, supposed photos of Apple’s next iphone have just been leaked and the images tell a fairly familiar, but rather odd story.
While the blogosphere is busy sifting through rumors and reports pertaining to the iphone 6s, a source has just sent 9to5Mac photos of what are purportedly the first images of the next-gen iPhone. three in total, you can see the phone dressed in a new rose gold color, a change that had been suggested earlier in a report coming in from a trusted analyst over at KGI Securities. The rose gold was reportedly going to match the shade found on the Apple watch Edition, and while the color is a definite eye candy, it’s nothing a few clicks in Photoshop cannot accomplish.
However, rose gold or not, the most glaring change is the existence of that dual-camera setup, something that has been rumored somewhere before the start of this year, but has since than been treated as something unrealistic. Theoretically, it is not entirely impossible, even in an iPhone, but knowing Apple and its ‘play-it-safe’ approach, it’s unlikely the company will venture into this rare system. If anything, there’s a good chance that the Cupertino camp will bump up the pixel count on the iSight camera with a recent report suggesting that the company is looking to throw in a 12MP module with reduced pixel size.
Obviously, these photos do not tell what’s going on under the hood, which raises even more questions about their legitimacy, but reports have pegged the September-bound iphone with a new sapphire crystal glass for the display, 2GB of RAM and a debated introduction of force Touch technology, which would bring some new and advanced ways of interacting with the UI in iOS.
While Apple works on the new iPhone, it is too early to be making any concrete claims regarding the presence of any of the above mentioned changes, and if anything, these new photos of the supposed iphone 6s should be treated with quite a bit of salt given that the source remains unconfirmed, and to be honest, the dual-camera setup looks plain ugly.
We would go as far as saying that these photos are fake until proven otherwise.
